       I still get headaches.

I should be meditating, but it's so damn hard, it's worse than sit-ups. I barely get through 5 minutes, I'm so restless.

Exercise really does help. More yoga! And maybe I should get back into running or some such stuff. I loved vacation so much, spending all our days rambling up and down hills, streets, acropolises... I just want to live on the other side of a small mountain from my office. Without any traffic. {Judy Garland voice} Someplace where there isn't any trouble... {/Judy Garland voice} Even just a nice brisk walk helps.

All that stuff about drinking 6 to 8 8-ounce glasses of water a day? It actually helps, I think. So does calming herbal tea, or green tea (my current fave: "Head-Aid Tea" -- green tea with kava and feverfew).

So does crying, when necessary. Ideally in a dark bedroom with a good quilt and fluffy pillows.

Chocolate, coffee, and alcohol... all three are to be avoided. Ha ha. Well, habitual use of any of them can cause headaches but immediate consumption of any of them can sometimes relieve a headache that's just beginning. Find out what works for you.

And now I've got this other fun thing, Restless Leg Syndrome. Sometimes when I'm overtired or trying to go to sleep, I get wicked tense and one of my legs will start kicking spontaneously. Damned uncomfortable. What helps with that: getting up to walk around, stretching, drinking a big glass of water, chewing a Tums or taking a calcium pill.

Back to the Nest...

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."
